Every WSL franchise is a brand. Territory colors, sponsor integration, kit zones — all governed by the WSL Identity System to ensure consistency and commercial value across the league.
Every WSL franchise follows a three-part naming convention. The nickname becomes a registered team asset owned by the franchise.
Base colors are drawn from the territory's flag or regional identity. An optional sponsor accent layer can be applied to select kit elements per WSL Kit Spec. WSL must approve all color applications before season start.
The WSL kit template defines four mandatory zones. Teams customise within these zones. WSL controls badge placement and approves all designs before season start.
Both kits must be submitted to WSL for approval before the season start date. Late submissions result in default kit assignment.
